Copper Mountain condos

Copper Mountain entranceCondos at Copper Mountain make up the majority of the residential properties.  Copper has four distinct areas of homes and condos, with the majority being in the Center Village, the base area for the American Flyer and American Eagle lifts.  The Super Bee lift has the East Village as its base area, which is the secondary area for condominiums.  Union Creek, the beginner teaching area for the mountain, has few condos at its base with the Cache at Union Creek soon to be finished.

The fourth area has only single family homes at the moment.  It is currently called the A lift area, as it is on the east side of the mountain, at the base of the Alpine lift.  Information on those homes is on the Copper Mountain homes page.  Lewis Ranch, at the western end of Copper, is also covered on that page.

Copper One LodgeThe Center Village was revitalized in 1999 and 2000 when five new buildings were built and the old base area razed.  The new buildings are Copper One Lodge, Tucker Mountain Lodge, Taylor’s Crossing, Mill Club and Passage Point.   For more information on the Center Village at Copper specifically, click on the link.  Older condo complexes that are near the Center Village but don’t have Village dues or transfer fees to pay, are Telemark Lodge, The Lodge at Copper, Westlake Lodge, Snowbridge Inn, Bridge End, Copper Junction, Spruce Lodge, Copper Mountain Inn, Village Square and Mountain Plaza.

Condominiums at Copper Mountain range from almost 40 years old to brand new.  As is often the case, many of the older buildings have the best locations.  Some have had or are talking about, special assessments in order to update the building, replace roofs and do the maintenance that is needed as properties age.  In some cases dues are also high, but each building needs to be investigated separately, as there is no way to know what the dues are and what they cover without researching each one.  We have links to the various homeowner association websites on our website or you can access the page via the link in this sentence.  Many of the older units have been remodeled, are every bit as nice and also considerably larger, than the newer condos.

View of the Sky Chutes from Copper Mountain’s East VillageThe East Village  has two newer buildings, Copper Springs Lodge (1998-1999) and Elk Run, within walking distance of the Super Bee lift.  Unlike the Center Village buildings, they are not required to pay dues to the Village Association, and there is no real estate transfer fee.  (In the Center Village the transfer fee is 1.5% of the purchase price.)  Other buildings in the East Village are Snowflake, Summit House East, Foxpine Inn, Peregrine, Anaconda, Wheeler House, The Greens,  and Village Point.  The area between the Center Village and East Village is home to Ten Mile Haus, Summit House, Timber Creek, and Copper Valley.

The newest building in Copper is the Cache at Union Creek.  Union Creek is the most western point in the Village with condominiums.  Between Union Creek and the Center Village are a quarter share complex called The Cirque and townhomes that are covered on the Copper  Mountain Townhome page.   We track sales in most of the newer buildings and have Copper Mountain market reports on this website that are updated monthly.  Just click the link to access them.
