Summit County Colors, a Colorado slideshow
There is nothing more beautiful than Colorado in the fall….well, maybe Colorado in winter, or summer…
But in September, there is nothing more beautiful.

Beautiful! Did you take the photos? Joe had a great time and we both hope you are feeling normal again. Thanks for your hospitality.
Love, Anne

Ann, I am always normal… or better than normal
I did take the photos over the last couple of years. I have quite a collection built up and you can bet you will see more here now that I have this great slideshow tool at my disposal.
Joe can come and paint with us anytime. His artwork is beautiful too. www.joegarcia.com.

After spending three glorious days painting in Silverthorne (this week) it was hard to leave. There was a dusting of snow on the peaks and the color was brilliant. Thanks!

This is impressive - your area is beautiful - we are seeing snow falling on our mountains - enjoy the colors while you can

Thesa, we are supposed to have quite a bit more snow this weekend and that will probably do them all in, especially if we get wind with it. I think your seasons are close to ours; maybe the winters are a little shorter in Central Oregon?

Every year as we go from one season to another I am still amazed at how beautiful Colorado is. Great slideshow!

Adele is my sister, and she and I, together with Joe Garcia, spent some time painting this week, which is what caused me to want to put the photos online. Both are wonderful artists! Joe’s website is above, and you can see Dell’s at www.adeleearnshaw.com.
Meredith, you should have been with us!

We are indeed blessed to live in such a beautiful state.

Blessed and smart, Dena…we could be living elsewhere! We choose to be here.

Joanne, I love your slideshow. I haven’t made it up into the mountains to see the fabulous scenery yet. Thanks for sharing it. We are blessed.

Thanks Jennifer, the leaves are almost gone now, and soon we will be skiing.
There will be more slideshows coming; it gives me something to do all the photos I take!
October 6th, 2007 at 8:39 am
Joanne, why don’t you post one of your oil paintings (with fall colors) here, in addition to photos.
Joanne has only been painting for a year or two, and already she is in two galleries and her work is selling like hotcakes!
October 6th, 2007 at 8:47 am
I don’t know that I would say it is selling like hotcakes, but I have been lucky enough to sell a few in the last year. I enjoy it, and that is what counts. My sister is my mentor!

Maybe you should do a complete slideshow of your paintings next time. You capture Colorado colors beautifully in your landscapes.

Your slideshow is impressive, Joanne. Makes we want to come right back there.

I enjoyed beautiful Colorado when I was there in June. I can imagine it must be lovely in the fall. I always liked Indian summer in New England.

Joanne ~ I am not surprised you have taken up painting. How could one be surrounded in such amazing splendor and resist the urge to recreate it on canvas!

Sharon, if I had known you were coming I would have baked a cake! Let me know next time and I will buy you lunch.
And Kristal, I would have painted you a picture! Actually, it is not as easy to paint a good one as you would think, but I have fun attempting it!
