The Summit County Colorado county website

If you are looking for an information packed website (in addition to our own Summit County Real Estate site) check out the Summit County website at www.co.summit.co.us.   It is loaded with information, from the hours the Landfill is open to the location of the Animal Shelter.  I often use it when I am looking for real estate information such as who owns a particular property, when they bought it and how much they paid for it.  It also maps the property for you so you can see exactly where it is.  Summit County contains the towns of Breckenridge, Silverthorne, Frisco, Dillon, Keystone and Copper Mountain. If your property is not in one of those towns, it is in the County, but the website has all properties, no matter what town they are in.

Summit County Government - Colorado

Through the website, you can find out how much your property taxes are, then pay them online.

Next time the county re-values your Summit County real estate and you want to protest it, that is where you find the comparable sales they used to determine a value for your property.   Want to know when the Summit Stage bus leaves Frisco for Copper Mountain, get information about building permits and fees and check local restaurants for their latest health department inspections?  You can find it all on this one website.

Reports given to the County Commissioners and available for the public are also on the site.  Today you can look up Summit County’s Health Needs Assessment and the Citizen’s Wildfire Preparedness Guide.   Also, see what you need to do if you rent your furnished home or condo.  You will be liable for personal property tax on the furniture and this page tells you more.

Want to find out about foreclosures and tax sales?

Here, most are timeshares; we do not have a lot of foreclosures, unlike the rest of the country.    Go to the Treasurer and Public Trustee’s page to find out what is already in the foreclosure process.  The treasurer determines taxes and the Public Trustee handles foreclosures and leins.

Need to know more about Summit County Real Estate?  Just call or email us and we will be happy to help. Meredith has all the info about the few foreclosures we have; just ask for her or click on the “Contact” tab on the menu bar above.
