Real estate in Summit County increasing by 10%? Woo hoo!! Sounds fabulous, and we are appreciative of any increase these days. However, when you realize that 2006 sales were 2499, and this year we did 1009, it doesn’t look as good. Last year we only had 918 sales, That was about as bad as it could get. “Dismal” was my word for it, and dismal plus 10% is still pretty bad.

November was one of the stronger months of the year with 108 sales, although we didn’t quite meet the sales of November 2009 when we had 110 closings. Last year was very weak in the first half of the year but the last half came back fairly strong. This year our sales in the first half were much better than the year before but the last half of the year has leveled off, and I think we will end up the year about 7% ahead of 2009. What is in the cards for us for 2011?
