Over the Hill Gang and season pass info; ski season starts soon!

Having fun!One of my favorite groups in Summit County is the Over the Hill Gang.  You don’t even have to be over the hill to join them, as they accept members as young as 45.   They ski at Copper Mountain four days a week with a ski school guide.  That fact that OHG members are with guides becomes very important during the busy seasons, as it means that they get to cut ski school lines.   Plus, the guides know all the best places to ski and give great ski tips.   Low cost workshops are offered many times during year, and The Gang has lots of social activies, both summer and winter.

Joining OHG is easy to do and is best done online.  Membership is $270 per person for the season up to age 79.  Once you turn 80, the only cost is a $10 administrative fee!  Are you laughing, wondering who will qualify?  Join, and find out!  There are many very fit, athletic people who still ski frequently at 80 and above.  They may not be bashing bumps all day, but they still put in a day that would wear many younger people out.  The early season discount ends October 18, so sign up quickly if you intend to do it this season.  There  is also a couples discount and discounted season passes.  When you buy the membership and season pass together, the pass is $339 for Copper only (regular early season price is $359), and $379 for the Rocky Mountain Super Pass.  Other pass prices are also listed on the website.

Copper Mountain opens November 14, so you have less than two months to get in shape for ski season. Time to get busy!

Oh, and don’t forget that Summmit County ski condo.  Of course, we can help with that.  :)
