Summit County Colorado pets get the best of care
This is doggie heaven! It seems that everyone in Summit County has at least one dog and they go everywhere with their owners, including to work. I don’t have a dog as I am allergic to them, but I do have cats. Actually cats are much easier as they don’t have to be walked and they spend a good deal of time sleeping. One of my three cats has to have medicine, so I can’t really leave a bowl of food and some water and hope they take care of themselves when I go out of town. I have tried a couple of different pet sitters and even had one who “forgot” to visit my cats for all three days I was gone. Luckily I had left food and water out.
One of my jobs as a Realtor in Summit County is to be a resource for my clients. When I find a business that does a good job, whether it be carpet cleaners, electricans, or pet sitters, I pass the name on to others. If a client is unhappy and I hear about it, the name comes off the list and I no longer refer anyone to them. I also do not accept referral fees from any of these people, as I want the recommendation to be because they do a good job; not because I make money by sending them customers.
The Pet Sitter on my list is the one who comes to my house to take care of my spoiled cats. Pat Culhane, with Prints Pet Sitting comes morning and evening when we both leave for more than one day. Not only does she make sure they have medication, food and water, she writes me notes about how they did each day. Recently we were gone for about ten days, and she came twice a day. Here is her entry for December 8: “Kids very awake due to wind all night. Awake = hungry and they ate quickly in order to get back to their warm spots under the bed. Evening visit; All three ate (Delilah got meds) and I gave JJ lots of chin rubs. Dusty followed me downstairs. It is amazing how soft that cat is! Left the TV on for them.” (on the animal channel of course). Her “note” was two and a half pages long! Wouldn’t you like someone like that taking care of your pets?
I think Pat lives up to the Summit County standard….she certainly lives up to mine! She is a vet tech and qualified to take care of almost all types of pets, so far as I know. You can reach Pat at (970)390-1966.
